On June 25, the Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE) and the Ukrainian Network of Integrity and Compliance (UNIC) in partnership with the RISE Ukraine Coalition and iHUB, hosted a training course, titled "Moving to the Next Level: Implementation of Integrity Tools".
The program aimed to enhance SMEs' integrity, transparency, and readiness for international financial support and participation in Ukraine's recovery.
The training team at the event included representatives from Ukraine’s National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption (NACP), Prozorro (the Electronic Public Procurement Platform), DREAM (Digital Restoration Ecosystem for Accountable Management), a CIPE anti-corruption consultant, and other experts.
The course targeted SMEs involved in recovery projects, infrastructure development, and essential goods and services production. It covered business opportunities with grantor and investor requirements, anti-corruption and compliance policies, digital tools for public procurement, and strategies to minimize corruption risks in communications with local government. Participants received free compliance document templates and trainer recommendations.
This training program was developed based on recommendations from the CIPE-facilitated RISE Ukraine working group on the private sector's role in reconstruction with best anti-corruption standards and practices. UNIC and CIPE are both members of the RISE Ukraine Coalition.
